And here’s the audio pronunciation:

Next, we learn about numbers from 10 to 20 in French

Regrettably, the numbers from 10 to 20 exhibit slight irregularities, making it necessary for you to memorize them.

10 – dix

11 – onze

12 – douze

13 – treize

14 – quatorze

15 – quinze

16 – seize

17 – dix-sept

18 – dix-huit

19 – dix-neuf

20 – vingt

French numbers from 20 to 69

In French, to express the numbers from 20 to 69, you simply combine the single number (units) with the tens number, employing a hyphen to link the two numbers together.

vingt (20) + deux (2) = vingt-deux (22)

trente (30) + sept (7) = trente-sept (37)

quarante (40) + neuf (9) = quarante-neuf (49)

French numbers from 70 to 100

The numbers beyond 69 in French adhere to a different rule than what you may be accustomed to. The number 70 is expressed as "soixante-dix" (60 + 10). As you progress through the 70s, you will notice that they continue to follow the pattern of combining "soixante" (60) with a number from 10 to 19.

70 – soixante-dix

71 – soixante-onze

72 – soixante-douze

73 – soixante-treize

74 – soixante-quatorze

75 – soixante-quinze

76 – soixante-seize

77 – soixante-dix-sept

78 – soixante-dix-huit

79 – soixante-dix-neuf (which is literally 60 + 19)

When it comes to the numbers in the 80s, the French language employs "quatre-vingt," which can be interpreted as "four twenties." This linguistic influence is reminiscent of the archaic English term "four score" instead of "eighty."

80 – quatre-vingts (notice vingts ends in an S)

81 – quatre-vingt-un (notice vingt does not end in an S)

82 – quatre-vingt-deux

83 – quatre-vingt-trois

84 – quatre-vingt-quatre

85 – quatre-vingt-cinq

86 – quatre-vingt-six

87 – quatre-vingt-sept

88 – quatre-vingt-huit

89 – quatre-vingt-neuf

In French, the number 90 is expressed as "quatre-vingt-dix" (80 + 10). Similar to the 70s, the remaining numbers in the 90s follow the pattern of combining "quatre-vingt" (80) with a number from 10 to 19.

90 – quatre-vingt-dix

91 – quatre-vingt-onze

92 – quatre-vingt-douze

93 – quatre-vingt-treize

94 – quatre-vingt-quatorze

95 – quatre-vingt-quinze

96 – quatre-vingt-seize

97 – quatre-vingt-dix-sept

98 – quatre-vingt-dix-huit

99 – quatre-vingt-dix-neuf (which is literally 4 x 20 + 19)

I think it not easy.

While using those numbers would still make you understandable to people in France, where's the fun in speaking French without a touch of Parisian flair?

As 70 and 90 are derived from 60 and 80 respectively, they use the teens to express the digits from 71 to 79 and 91 to 99. For instance, 71 is expressed as soixante-et-onze ("60 + 11"), and 95 is quatre-vingt-quinze ("80 + 15"). You can refer back to the numbers table above for practice.

Although it may sound complicated, it's actually quite straightforward. After practicing these numbers a few times, you'll have a solid understanding of the 70s and 90s. It's just like getting the hang of wearing bell-bottoms and flannel plaid shirts.
